Since our inception in 2014, we have positioned ourselves as our customers’ preferred logistics provider. Built on a consolidation of two separate companies, we have a legacy over 100 years strong, which is able to lead us to new heights.
Silk Contract Logistics has been built on the foundation and reputation of two dynamic Australian logistics companies.
In 2012 Kagan Logistics and Hoffmann Transport merged to form Silk Contract Logistics. With individual company histories dating back more than 50 years, we are now one of the most experienced warehousing and transport operations in – and across – the country.
In February 2014, the management team along with equity partner Gandel Invest acquired Silk Contract Logistics from Gresham Private equity. In February 2016, Executive Directors Brendan Boyd, John Sood and George Lerias bought out Gandel Invest and now fully own Silk Contract Logistics.
With a large and satisfied work force, an established safety record and tier 1 technology to support our operations we are proud to say Silk Contract Logistics stands tall in the Australian logistics community. We are a business that believes our success is based on the success of both our customers and our staff and we are completely committed to achieving this for all stakeholders.
From here, our dedicated team built on and expanded the new business under the name Silk Contract Logistics. Combining the best elements of specialist warehousing and transport firms, we provide a full suite of logistics services that meet our customers’ various business goals.
Since 2014, we have provided customer-centric service that seeks to source new contracts and expand our customer base. Responding to new tasks with our trademark agility and nimbleness, we provide all of our accounts personalised service that responds to their needs, and are able to develop repeatable, robust and maintainable solutions.
