The Silk Logistics Group has been built on the strong foundations and peerless reputations of five dynamic Australian transport and warehousing companies that now work together as one team.
In May 2008, Kagan Logistics, WA Freight Group, Hoffmann Transport, and Bunker Freight Lines joined forces (backed by private equity partner Gresham Private Equity) – to form the Silk Logistics Group. With individual company histories dating back more than 50 years, we are one of the
most experienced transport and warehousing operations in — and
across — the country.
By consolidating five great companies into one we have been able to:
- improve our safety performance
- leverage our complementary strengths to provide value based services
- extend our national reach;
- expand our operations;
- provide seamless integrated transport and warehousing services
The good news for our customers is that we can now offer deeper, wider resources, streamlined service levels and improved cost efficiencies which means more service for least cost.
Today, with a robust turnover and very large and satisfied work force, some of who operate the best equipment in the transport and warehousing sector we are proud to say that the Silk Logistics Group stands tall on the Australian logistics and warehousing landscape.
